Petroleum coke (Pet coke/Petcoke)is a solid high carbon material which is produced as a by-product of the oil refining process. The chief constituent of petroleum coke is hydrocarbon (carbon content of 90-97%, hydrogen content of 1.5-8%), but it also contains nitrogen, chlorine, sulfur compounds and heavy metals. So the color of petroleum coke is black or dark gray.
According to different quality, the petroleum coke can be used in manufacturing graphite, metal smelting industry and chemical industry. The main product of our company is high-quality low sulfur coke (the sulfur content of less than 0.5%) that is mainly used in preparing high power graphite electrode for the steel and aluminium industries and producing some special carbon products.
